Tour Finals 2010
An end to another tour season has come and gone. 178
players came to play and partake in the huge $$$ offered at the Final. Lance
Schofield was victorious in the single elimination 9-ball over Brandon Hutson.
The 9-ball was unable to finish prior to the start of 8-ball due to the huge
turnout of 103 players. We worked it in when we could and got it done. This was
one of the reasons we did not let any other people play 9-ball if they weren’t
entered in the main event.
The 8-ball lower division ended up with 86 players and
Arnie Karpinski from Steven’s Point was victorious over Dan Scharenbrock of
Green Bay. Arnie had the hot seas but it went to the second set. Third Place
went to Rick Hutchinson of Peshtigo.
The upper division had 92 players because of bump ups and
saw Appleton’s Corey Peterson take the crown over Dan Dues of Saginaw, MI. It
was close to the end in this double dip performance. Third place went to Ed
Livingston of Wausau.
Many of the players had the pleasure to meet ex Green Bay
Packer Marv Fleming
Who was brought in by the casino, Mike Messer of Great
Lakes Financial Group, Jacoby Custom Cue and DR Pool Promotions, Inc. Marv had
many stories to share and signed a great many autographs.
The Kick-off event for
next season is a Mole Lake, August 13-15.
