Meskwaki Casino Tournament recap from Oct 3-5, 2008

A smaller turnout than anticipated showed for Tour stop #2
at the Meskwaki Casino in Tama IA. This venue has great
potential, but more time is needed to get the word out to the
players. Many new faces arrived and offered assistance, which
is very encouraging.

The casino has also added a lounge and is selling alcohol,
which should also help. The main event saw a split between
the “Old and New” team of Jerod Frideres and Gordie Peterson
and a team from Champaign IL with Mike Schultz and John
Ramsey.

41 players attended the $700 Friday night 9-ball event with
First also being chopped by Mike Schultz and John Podjaski.
11 teams played in the Last chance tourney with a free entry
and an $800 purse. The top 4 teams cashed with the Donkeys team
of Lupe Rosas and Josh Payne victorious.

Event shirts were given out to all participants as an extra gift
from Meskwaki Casino.
