Stop 11 Recap
What a weekend at Kewadin Shores! You knew it was going to
be good when we had 98 9-ball players vying for the $700 added and a $520 first
for merely a $20 entry. Follow that up with 87 teams, a full $3000 added
partner’s tournament and another $800 Purse last chance with over 50 teams and
you have a lot of pool.
Darryl Larson was declared the winner of the 9-Ball
as Greg Thornton could not stay for the finals. Then Darryll and his partner Ken
Depetro double dipped the finals eightball. Great weekend for Darryll.
Did I mention the $2 and $2.50 King Cans of beer? A
great mix of Wisconsin, Lower Michigan, Yoopers and Canadians had a great time.
This tournament is growing and headed towards the record books. (Held by
Potatwatomi Northern Lights Casino) 298 players.
DR Pool would like to thank his staff, Doug Garn,
Allison Garn and Joe Gurney, Jackson Custom Cue, for making the long trip, Lupe
Rosas cue repair. Also, Kewadin Shores Casino, Shannon Bonnell in Marketing, and
Sam Boychuk for recruiting teams.
The raffle cue winner was Dan Tremblay. The five
$100 winners were, Lupe Rosas Spencer Holberton, Rocky Deroque and Michael Pieri
and Joe Rider.
We look forward to being back in St. Ignace next
December and again the first weekend in April.
